Facade 3

Part three of four.

This one is about illness, healing, and health. I researched the symbolism of various cultures surrounding these three things and incorporated some in this piece. It’s quite different to my original concept, which was a lot more literal, but I think I like this better. If you're wondering how this fits into a series entitled "Façade", well, our bodies, or that part of it which we can see, masks what's going on inside, physiologically, psychologically or both. Additionally, you know when people ask you how you are feeling, and you almost always say "Well, thank you" even if that's not at all true? That's why.
